Overview
Helper duties consist of assisting pipefitters, and pipe welders with the removal, fabrication, installation and testing of various piping systems aboard both naval and commercial vessels. Fire watch/ confined space watch duties, and general worksite cleaning are also required.
Required Skills and Education
Ability to read measuring devices such as a tape measure.
Ability to operate electric and pneumatic hand tools such as reciprocating saws, drills, impact wrenches, and grinders.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to climb up and down ladders.
Must be able to obtain DBIDS.
