Hollow Metal Shop Fabricator

Doortech Manufacturing and Distribution Ltd. is seeking for a motivated and physically fit individual to join our Hollow Metal Shop Department as Hollow Metal Shop Fabricator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must demonstrate good observation skills and attention to fine details.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and or move 50 pounds or more.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous metal fabrication experience as asset, but not required.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, and read blue prints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for fabrication of hollow metal doors, frames and other related products.
  • Meet quality standards on a consistent basis as set forth by the Production Manager and/or lead hand.
  • Meet production times and due dates based on production order requirements.
  • Ability to handle power and hand tools and operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial & metric).
  • Willing to learn new skills and accept new tasks as the company grows.
  • Providing assistance to other departments from time-to-time.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, have a friendly personality, and work well with others.
  • All other duties as assigned from time-to-time.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to provide current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check if requested.
