Location: Mesquite, TX – *Climate Controlled Manufacturing Plant *

Schedule: Monday-Friday

1st shift- 6am- 2:30pm

2nd shift- 3pm- 11:30pm

OT Available, Possible weekend shift

Pay range: Starting from $17.00/hr. 2nd shift premium

PURPOSE

Set-up and operate and maintain housing welders to perform welding operations in the manufacture of blower assemblies and component parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Work from blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, written and verbal instructions.

2. Set-up and operate spot welder to fit and fasten housing sides, wrapper sheets, and other components parts utilizing the welder set up grid.

3. Perform regular inspection of parts to ensure conformance to specifications.

4. Use jigs, fixtures, holders and various gages to maintain tolerances; check parts and materials for visual defects and adherence to specifications.

5. Complete regular tip maintenance to insure proper weld quality; adjust equipment as required; set weld and modify as necessary utilizing the welder set up grid.

6. Add or update MP 245 tags on containers.

7. Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities.

8. Record production counts, scrap amounts and indirect labor.

9. Use pallet jack to move containers.

10. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.

11. Complete inspection procedure per QF forms as required.

12. Process paperwork, labeling, etc. based on work instructions, work in process, customer specifications, quality audits, and other related requirements.

13. Complete required reports and records.

14. Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.

15. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
