Position Summary: As an HVAC Fitter/Brazer, you will be responsible for fitting, brazing, and testing water and refrigerant tubing and fittings according to best industrial practices. Expected to read piping schematics, bills of materials and component installation instructions as well as keep records of material usage. You will develop new technical skills and learn advanced processes. Additionally, responsible for performing all assignments within classification and flexibility to work in any department assigned as business needs change and require.

• Position Responsibilities: *

• Knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and follow all work instructions, vendor installation documents and piping drawings
• Ability to plan and fit refrigeration piping to allow serviceability and ease of assembly of precision air conditioning machines
• Fit refrigeration lines, and build tubing subassemblies using tubing, fittings, tube benders and other tools of the trade
• Proficiency brazing refrigeration lines and joints to refrigeration equipment requirements
• Efficiently perform following work functions: fit and assemble refrigerant piping within machines, general assembly, general brazing, testing, and inspection in conformance with work instructions and schematic drawings
• Lifting of components/sub-assemblies and installation into assemblies manually or with use of hoist
• Installation of components/sub-assemblies with the use of appropriate equipment, hand tools, and power tools (tube benders, drills, tube cutters and other hand tools and power tools)
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work environment
• Strict adherence to all Quality inspection and process standards

• Aptitude to read, understand, and interpret basic blueprints, work instructions, component installation sheets.
• Be able to make reliable brazed joints between ACR copper tubing and fittings, and copper tubing joints with brass and stainless-steel valves and component parts
• Ability to read, write and apply best practices industry understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
• Self-starter and able to work efficiently with little direct supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Possesses integrity, works transparently, and treats others with respect.
• Possesses attention to detail and careful planning abilities.

• Skill and experience brazing copper assemblies with full compliance to quality standards
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC system operation and components.
• Candidates from the plumbing trade or HVAC-R, with willingness to learning precision cooling brazing techniques, will be considered.
