We are looking for experienced Welders to join our growing team in our Chilliwack – Rosedale location.

We build mobility! For over 43 years…TYCROP has been innovating, designing, engineering, actualizing, and supporting industrial equipment solutions for customers in mining, refuse, wood fiber, oil and gas, and agriculture.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the horizontal saw, vertical saw, shear, and manual brake press, and weld GMAW, GTAW, SMAW and FCAW.
  • Fits and welds complex assemblies
  • Weld and fabricate product, sub-assemblies and components for production
  • Fit and weld trailer chassis and know the rules as it pertains to welding on flanges, axle installations and critical weldments
  • Attend training, production and safety meetings as require
  • Perform other duties as required

Specific Skills:

  • Exhibits problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizational capabilities
  • Demonstrates both ability and desire to improve process and reduce waste
  • Proficient in precision layout and measurements as per drawings/hand drawings/or revisions
  • Show knowledge of various metals is an asset
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of welding processes including correct filler metals, welding gas, pre-heat requirements etc is preferred
  • Experience in welding Aluminum and Stainless Steel is an asset

Education and Experience:

  • Red Seal Endorsed, Journeyman Certified or comparable experience
