Overview
We are seeking Insulation fabricators to join our team at Crossby Systems Inc. in Stoney Creek.
Working Monday to Friday 6:30 am until 3:00 pm. Steel toe boots are required on the first day; benefits commence after the probation period of 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Trace and cut insulation blankets
- Pack orders
- Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals
- Participation in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, or his/her designate.
- Reasonable changes could be made to duties when required
- Must be able to work with Teflon and fiberglass material
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to adapt and maintain performance in changing work environment
- Effective interpersonal / communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively manage conflict, foster good team, and inter-department relations
Working Conditions:
- Plant floor environment
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, lifting, bending, and stooping
- Excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move and lift heavy fabrics and materials
- Working with machines, parts, and equipment
- Wear personal protective equipment as prescribed
