Overview
Intermediate Technician (Welding/Fabrication)
Must have:
– Completion of Welding Certificate program
– 3 years previous experience in an industrial or construction environment
– 3 years previous experience welding MIG/TIG in Steel (CWB Certs current or expired)
– 3 years previous experience in mechanical assembly, interpreting engineering drawings
– 3 years previous experience in designing and fabricating jigs and fixtures.
– Own Transportation and valid Ontario driver’s License
Should have:
– 1 or more years’ experience welding MIG/TIG Aluminum (CWB certs current or expired)
– 1 or more years’ experience welding MIG/TIG Stainless Steel (CWB certs current or expired)
– Familiarity with lathes, dill presses and ironworkers
– Familiarity with powered hand tools and material handling equipment (forktrucks and aerial lifts)
Nice to have:
– Experience in Structural Erection
– Experience in general construction environment
Administrative Details
– Start Date: Immed
– Full Time, Permanent
– $20-25/hr depending on experience and qualifications
– 44 hrs/wk, typically daytime hours, some Saturdays required
– Welder to provide own CSA Safety Boots (Green Triangle)
– Welder to provide own Welding helmet (CSA Class 3)
– Welder to provide own Welding Gloves
– All Other PPE to be provided by Dymech.
– PPE, Tool and Welders Annual allowances
