Ironworkers
Location: Mosaic K3 Site Underground
Start Date: November 2, 2020
Term: 4-5 Months
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor– this role will include but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications to lay out the work
- Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
- Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts
- Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures
- Build and install columns, girders, and structural frameworks out of iron and steel.
Education and Experience:
- Valid provincial Journeyman or Experienced Apprentice
- Pre-Access drug and alcohol testing
- Must hold a valid class 5 license
- Underground experience
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Experience with ventilation / airflow underground
- Experience with ground control underground
- Must have a valid Fall Protection
- Must have a valid WHMIS
- An asset to have CWB Certified SMAW and FCAW
