Overview

We have multiple positions open for Journeymen/Millwrights, Welders & Machinists with immediate start dates. We welcome applications from those who offer various skill levels within the noted trades.

The successful candidate shall possess the following characteristics:

  • Basic to strong fabrication and welding skills;
  • The ability to weld, fit, assemble, construct and/or modify assigned tasks through verbal instructions, blueprint designs, and/or Customer job requests;
  • Working knowledge of general facility maintenance, gear boxes, conveyors, hydraulics, power transmission, bearings etc.;
  • The ability to react quickly and make effective decisions by assessing a given situation either solely, with co-workers/ Supervisor, and/or the Customer to resolve an assigned task;
  • The ability to work various shifts as required (i.e. varying start times, weekends, travelling out of town, etc.);
  • The ability to work independently and with others as required;
  • To present oneself in a professional manner, both at the Company’s shop and on Customer premises;
  • Maintain good physical fitness to meet the strenuous demand of the position; and
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills: * Knowledge of Millwright/Welding/Piping/Machining Industries;

  • 3-5 years related experience an asset, but willing to offer apprenticeship;
  • 433A Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent experience OR completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field or equivalent related experience an asset;
  • CWB and TSSA Welding Certifications preferred or be able to complete testing as requested;
  • Competency in Mig, Tig and Stick Welding in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum;
  • Competency in using Oxy-Acetylene in Mild Steel;
  • Competency in Plasma Cutting in Mild Steel and Stainless Steel;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Must be a driven, motivated, self-starter; and
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License is required with reliable transportation.

Salary: $17.00-$37.00 per hour
