Overview
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform in-field pipe welding, typically on small, medium, and large diameter pipe (4” – 24”)
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Fuse metal segments using defined processes
Work safely and follow all safety, health and environment policies and procedures
This is a generalized list responsibilities and does not include all responsibilities required of the position
Work Conditions
Daily LOA: $175 – $225
Shift Schedule: 17 on 4 days off
Start Date: October 2022 completion of April 2023
Job Specific Requirements
Must possess an Alberta “B” Pressure ticket and be able to obtain a CWB SMAW certification along with Safety Tickets
Candidates with experience on 550 and 448 grade pipes (steam piping) will be prioritized
Requirements
Experienced Welder with a reliable rig and equipment
Valid “B” Pressure certification / CWB SMAW
Must posses an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a valid Journeyman certificate issued by a relevant a provincial training authority
Working knowledge of all welding processes including GMAW & SMAW
Must have a keen attention to detail, high accuracy and low repair rate
Ability to perform regular physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

H2S Alive – Must be Energy Safety Canada approved course
