We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers, and Calgary, AB.
Purpose of the Role:
To perform maintenance and construction duties as a Pipefitter within the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team. To safely perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks to optimize equipment and system availability and to contribute to the performance of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
Accountabilities:
Repair, adjust, fabricate and maintain pipe systems within Crushing and Concentration plant
Layout, fitting, cutting
Follow OH&S, Mines Act, and Newcrest Red Chris Policies and Procedures
Able to work outdoors in severe conditions
Capable of work at heights and in confined spaces
Able to work day or night shift as required
Provide mentorship and assist in training of apprentices
Champion safe work practices
Assist other trades as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Interprovincial Red Seal Pipefitter
Safety orientated mindset
Valid Class 5 drivers license required
Overhead crane, Aerial Work Platform, Rigging certificates are an asset
Same welding experience is desirable
Pipe fusing ticket an asset
Experience with pipe system layout and pipe fitting fabrication including elbows, wyes, and tees
Experience living and working in remote camp environment
A team player that works well with others
Strong oral and written communication skills
