We are seeking skilled professional and certified red seal steamfitters / pipefitters to become part of our mechanical construction team for various mechanical construction projects in Yorkton, Saskatchewan in Canada. Candidates should have a good working knowledge on how to install, maintain, and repair pipes and equipment used in heating, cooling, and industrial systems.

Compensation / Hours

  • $43.94 per hour
  • 10 days on site for 10 hours, 4 days off
  • Paid Live out Allowance ($145 per day)
  • Travel time $197.73 1 way, Travel expense $256.50 1 way

Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Red Seal Steamfitter
  • Completion of a steam fitting apprenticeship program
  • Experience in mechanical construction, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus
  • Physical ability to work in a construction environment and lift heavy materials
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair pipes and equipment used in heating, cooling, and industrial piping systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and repair
  • Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery to cut, bend, and shape pipes and fittings
  • Test and maintain systems to ensure they are working properly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems as needed
  • Always follow safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Communicate with team members and supervisor to ensure project is completed on time and within budget
