Site: Ruth lake Syncrude

Schedule: 14×14 (Day shift) 11.5 hours daily

Overtime: Provided after 8 hours per day and after 44 hours in a work week (Sunday – Saturday)

Hourly Rate: $60.00hr

Accommodations: Condo provided

Scope of Work: Running repair maintenance and line boring on heavy equipment,

Responsibilities:

  • Fleet repairs including Frame/Dump body repairs, Dozer ice lugging, Pin lancing, Implement repairs and Crack gouging/repairs.
  • Fabrication of various items, Numbers, signs, Stands or whatever needed for the Maintenance/Ops groups
  • Indoors/Outdoors work as needed
  • Align boring mining equipment (Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators)

Specific Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment repair experience required (Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators)
  • Trained and experienced with align boring heavy equipment, Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead and/or mobile truck cranes as well as other tools of the trade

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal/Alberta Journeyman (Journeyperson) Welder
  • Experienced machinist (Red Seal/Alberta Journeyman in Machining isn’t required but needs to be proficient in align boring mining equipment.)

Summary:

All successful candidates must:

  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  • Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
  • Breath Alcohol Test
  • Urine Drug Test
  • Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

  • CSO or BSO Certification
  • Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
  • Silica Awareness
  • Fall arrest
  • EWP Certification

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

  • Will receive a call from Tizzco’s Riverside machining and welding to set up all required pre-employment testing
  • An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
  • After all results are received by Tizzco’s Riverside machining and welding candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
