Journeyman Welder / Rigger

We are currently recruiting a Journeyman Welder/Rigger to support our Shovel Maintenance Team. 6 / 6 schedule, 12 hour day.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing shovel maintenance, including supporting outages.

Aligning and anchoring the machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, ensuring the rigging is safe for use

Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Requirements

Journey-Certified Welder/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.

Must have a Certified Rigging ticket

Flux core and wire feed experience an asset.

A minimum 3-5 years of related experience.

Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience.

A clean driver’s abstract.

The successful candidate must successfully complete a site pre-access drug and alcohol test.

CSO Certification required.

Confined Space and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset.
