Are you looking for an opportunity to work alongside an innovative and driven team with steady work? Eagle Builders is recruiting for 6 Sub-Contractor Journeyman Welder who are motivated to work with our field crews to build outstanding Precast Structures in Western Canada! We are looking for sub-contract Welders for 2 months of guaranteed 48 hours a week work, with the potential to extend into long term.

The ideal contractor has a desire to work hard, is reliable, has attention to detail, and can safely work in a team. Successful contractor should be physically fit as this is a position that requires you to perform a variety of physically challenging duties. Majority of the work is out of town, and you will be expected to travel within Western Canada. You will be on the road Monday to Saturday but guaranteed Sunday off! Must have a positive go-getter attitude, be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, in all weather conditions.

Job Descriptions

  • Perform structural welding on commercial, industrial and agricultural construction sites
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Use required safety equipment at all times
  • Follow weld procedures to ensure quality products
  • Lift 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Work effectively within a crew of 3-5 team members on the construction site
  • Accomplish a variety of tasks that help the progress of the build
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures

Assets

  • Precast concrete construction experience
  • Ironworker ticket
  • Valid Standard First Aid – Preference will be given to those with current First Aid Certification
  • WCB coverage in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan

Requirements

  • Provide your own welding rig/truck
  • WCB coverage in the province you are working in
  • CWB all position, stick welding ticket – carbon steel
  • Certified & Journeyman welding ticket
  • Previous structural steel welding experience
  • The ability to lift at least 50lbs and comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints
  • Valid Standard Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform certification
  • Available to work away from home Monday-Saturday
  • Ability to work a minimum 48 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime and Saturdays
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the attention to detail
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
