Overview

Circul-Air Corp (CAC) is recruiting an experienced welder to lead the expansion of our material handling and storage production line in Orono, Ontario. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following skills:

  • Able to read, understand and provide feedback and help develop blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Be technically sound in the Canadian Welding Code and its application.
  • Understand and be able to guide others in the development of welding procedures and weld validation.
  • Advanced experience in MIG and TIG processes and hold current tickets in all major positions for mild and stainless steels.
  • Have experience in first part qualification.
  • Have experience in material take-off from prints or samples.
  • Have experience in ordering and maintaining shop supplies and consumables.
  • Prior supervision of fabricators and welder fitters from introductory to advanced welders.
  • Prior hands-on experience in a machine shop with drill press, saw, mill operation of an intermediate level.

Additional skills which are valuable to the position include:

  • Experience in mid to high volume welding operation.
  • Forklift certification (propane and electric truck)
  • DZ or D licence
  • Prior experience in a quality inspection role or trainer role.

Other Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s licence. The candidate must have their own vehicle.
  • Be able to travel between facilities in Orono, ON and Cavan ON (Peterborough)
  • 10 years of continuous experience as a welder, welding lead or welder fitter.
  • Preference will be given to candidates in the Durham, Clarington and Southern Kawartha Lakes regions.
  • The candidate must be of good physical condition as the role involves the handling of raw steel, steel components and fixtures.
  • The candidate must be able to produce testing records and training transcripts prior to the start of employment.
