Overview
Webco Mill Supply is looking for a Journeyman/woman Welder/Fabricator to join our team! We are also open to an apprentice welder with a 2-3+ years of experience, depending on skill level. The Welder will be responsible for fabrication and assembly of both new and repaired machine parts for the sawmill industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair and fabrication of various machine parts
- Silver brazing
- Carbon arc gouging
- Operate welding equipment and other metalworking tools and machinery
- Operate hydraulic press – 100 ton
- Ensure quality and other necessary documentation is completed
- Read and interpret drawings, work orders and other manufacturing specifications to accurately layout, weld and fabricate parts
- Fixture maintenance
- Overseeing apprentice welders as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to follow work orders and instructions
- Possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to fine detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work as part of a team
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs
MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE
- C Level Welder Certified minimum
- 3+ years work experience
- Familiarity with machine shop safety practices
- Forklift Certified
- WHMIS Certified
