Overview

Our Company: CEC is a growing company based out of Kamloops, BC providing services throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Our company has a fleet of mobile cranes and industrial equipment that we use for hoisting and installing heavy equipment and structures, specializing in bridge building and rehab. We work in the industrial construction sector. We provide mobile crane services as well as all components of bridges, piling, fabrication, and jack & rolls. At CEC, we believe safety and quality come first above all. Our goal is to use our skills and field knowledge combined with safe work practices, to provide quality crane and construction services to our community.

The Position: We love a challenge and are looking for eager employees who share that determination. We currently have a full-time position open for a Journeyman Welder. We have a team of hardworking and driven employees who dedicate their efforts and passions to providing safe, quality work, and we are looking for more people to join us. . CWB certification and experience with wire welding in all positions would be a definite asset. Our welder must be fully qualified and capable of working alone, and comfortable working in a shop or field environment. There is also a potential of working in remote areas. Due to the diversity of work CEC performs, it is realistic to say there would be some additional duties at times in order to get the job done such as bridgeman work. At CEC, we work as a team to get projects completed safely and efficiently and all workers assist where and when as needed. Fabrication experience and reading/sketching shop drawings would be an asset as well.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Welder
  • Class 1 driver’s license
  • Rigging Certification
  • CWB Welding Certificate
  • Fall Protection
  • H2S Alive

Any or all of the above would be considered an asset to our team.

This position will be a permanent, full-time position. Though we take on projects all around the province, this job will be based out of our head office and yard in Kamloops. We are looking for someone who is local or interested in relocating to the Thompson-Nicola Valley to start their career with CEC.

*Potential for some work in the Lower Mainland as well
