Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who takes the initiative and is confident working in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive starting salary, full benefits after completion of the probationary period, and annual bonuses. The position is a full-time position, with standard hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required dependent on customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive jobs from your manager and carry out what is needed to complete the job
  • Check in with your manager in the morning for a job schedule and list of priorities.
  • Run an initial quality control check on the parts that are finished
  • Make sure to follow safety precautions (proper eyewear, safe footwear, proper monitoring of machinery etc.) in order to maintain a safe workplace for yourself and those around you
  • Operate all welding supplies, tools & machines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and formal hazard assessments
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Communicate your questions or concerns with supervisors & managers.
  • Report any concerns regarding machine maintenance, or performance of the machines. Schedule maintenance and repairs on these machines if needed
  • Field work and maintain welding trucks
  • Qualifications:
  • Asset: Journeyman ticket, CWB
  • Tig experience with stainless steels is a big asset.
  • Field experience would be an asset.
  • Versatile & Experienced
  • Good understanding of repair shop atmosphere
  • Multi-tasking with frequent need to respond to issues
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends on short notice

  • Welders: 3 years (required)

  • Journeyman Red Seal (preferred)
