Overview
MUST BE LOCAL, able to come to shop and perform a weld test, and have reliable transportation.
Looking for Journeyman welder or equivalent level and experience for busy, family run welding shop.
Must have extensive experience in GMAW
Welding tickets; CWB, solid wire and GMAW an asset. Aluminum TIG welding experience an asset 2-3 years
Must be able to fit and weld at a high level
Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Must be physically fit and able to lift 80 lbs comfortably
Must be extremely detail orientated
Able to travel out of town for work and be willing to work overtime when required
30-40 hour work week, Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend if required
Forklift ticket an asset, Level 1 first aid an asset, Arial lift ticket an asset
Must have steel toed work boots and appropriate welding work wear including own welding helmet
Some mathematics required, must have a good understanding of weights and measures
Willingness to be trained in welding, plasma cutting, drilling and saw cutting by owner. Owner is a red seal certified welder with 18 plus years experience.
