Project Specifics:
Monday – Friday 6 am start
Weekend availability (depends on scope of work)
Local to Edmonton and home everyday
$51.00 – $57.00 Subcontractor rate
What you bring:
Read and interpret blueprints and other written instructions
Perform SMAW, STT/FCAW weld processes
Effectively utilize Preheat/Interpass temperatures as stamped on drawing
Experience welding with power weld positioners (spinners), as well as position Welds, Confined environment etc.
Monitor the fitting, burning & welding processes to avoid overheating parts, components, shrinking, distortion & expansion of materials
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
Select proper fillers material for the application based on project instructions
Organize and keep work area & equipment clean & functional
Requirements:
Journeymen, CWB, B Pressure, SMAW, STT/FCAW tickets
Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Valid Alberta Welder Journeyman or Red Seal Certification
3-5 years Industrial welding experience
Pre-employment Weld Test required
Carbon (F3/F4) and/ (F6/F6) Welder Qualification, STT Experience and Tickets required
CSTS-09 / WHMIS 2015 / H2S Alive
Invested in a safety-oriented work environment
Relevant Experience: Welder, B pressure welder, Journeyman welder, Tac welders
