We are seeking expressions of interest for Journeyperson & Apprentice Ironworkers to help support future projects located throughout Northern Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Job Title: Journeyperson or Apprentice Ironworkers.

Job Summary: Ironworkers fabricate, erect, hoist, install, repair and service structural ironwork, precast concrete, concrete reinforcing materials, curtain walls, ornamental iron and other metals used in the construction of buildings, bridges, highways, dams and other structures and equipment. Individuals may work on remote, industrial or construction sites on a specified work rotation.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing specific practical and technical trade knowledge in the day-to-day function of your position on construction, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
  • Complete job hazard assessment and put mitigation strategies into place on a task-by-task basis.
  • Take direction and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Read engineered drawings and specifications to perform work.
  • Determine materials required for each job and able to effectively plan task sequence.
  • Follow all safety requirements and report any unsafe working conditions according to Company Policy.
  • Work in a collaborative and supportive manner with colleagues, supervision and clients.
  • Safe rigging and hoisting of components into position utilizing hoisting devices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial/construction work environment.
  • Registered Journeyperson or indentured apprentice.
  • Safety Certification Required:

o WHMIS 2015.

o Fire Extinguisher Training.

o Fall Protection

o AWP

o Rigging and Hoisting Certification

o Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing (if client required).

o H2S, CSTS, PSTS considered an asset.
