Almac is currently recruiting for Journeyperson and Apprentice Welders to work at our shop. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and working mainly in a shop.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Steel toed boots and welding helmet are required (all other PPE will be provided)
- 1 – 2 years experience is preferred but not required
- Heavy lifting may be required
- The ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening test
- Required Safety Certification courses will be provided to the successful candidate
Additional Preferred Skills for a Journeyperson:
- CWB certified FCAW welding
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
- Operate drill presses
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Layout patterns
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$33.00 per hour
