CP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Journeyperson Site Welder in our Saskatoon branch.

The position is full-time/part-time and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.

As a Journeyperson Site Welder, you will be responsible to:
Fabrication and Welding

Safely operate various power tools including, MIG welders, saws, presses, and punching equipment

Perform on site: position, stitch welding on 10 -,12- & 16-gauge steel door products

Complete welding & inspections to ensure a professional standard on our installations

Fabrication Materials and Equipment Inventory/Maintenance

Maintain proper tool’s, supplies and inventory for the service vehicle

Proper use and maintenance of punches, jig saws, presses, metal cutting saws, grinders, and MIG welding equipment

Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to workplace policies.

Internal/External Customer Service

Using win-win problem solving methods

Maintain positive, effective relations with all other personnel and departments in the company

A commitment to providing on site service repairs when required

Product Knowledge and Skill Development

Constantly updating product knowledge.

Assisting coworkers in other areas of installation

Constantly updating welding and fabrication skills in line with industry and technological advancements (procedural and equipment)

Your Experience:
Journeyperson certificate of 10+ years preferred, CWB certification

10+ years of general welding experience or applied trades training

Experience operating a forklift or telehandler is considered an asset.

Experience with hollow metal fabrication or a strong mechanical background is considered an asset

Inventory management experience considered an asset

Journeyperson certificate

CWB certified

Valid driver’s license
