Supreme Steel iscurrently looking for a quality driven, experienced Journeyperson Welder Checker to join our production teamat our facility in Saskatoon, SK. The Journeyperson Welder Checker will be responsible for weld checking of fabricated steel assemblies according to drawings while following Supreme Steel
safety quality and general policies. The Successful candidate must be detailed orientated, capable of reading complex blueprints and able to work with minimum supervision, while promoting a safe work environment. Must have CWB Welding Supervisor Certificate.
These are full time unionized positions, which will be required to work on a night shift rotation.
Preferred Journeyperson Welder Checker candidate will possess the following attributes:
· Strong knowledge of welding symbols and shop procedures
· Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Effective time management and organizational skills
· Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety procedures
Supreme Steel offers a competitive wage and benefit package as per the collective agreement, including yearly safety boot and glasses allowances, extra paid statutory holidays each year and nights shift premium of $3.00/hr.
All employees must adhere to proper safety procedures and policies while working in a culture of care. Positions working in labor intensive or safety-sensitive environments will be required to pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing, as a condition of their employment.
