JOURNEYPERSON WELDER/FABRICATOR – Summit (Prince George, BC)

We are looking for a permanent, full time, Journeyperson Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the welding repairs and fabrication on heavy duty trucks and trailers; all while ensuring quality workmanship and working as a member of a strong team.

Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and fabrication on various makes of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
  • Follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders.
  • Strong knowledge and skill in operating all welding machinery, ability to weld according to pre-set parameters using MIG, ARC and TIG welding processes
  • Successful candidate must supply their own tools

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30PM

Education & Experience:

  • Certification as a Welder and Fabricator
  • Ability to interpret drawings, layouts and follow work order instructions.
  • Team player with a strong commitment to customer service
  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding duties
  • Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
