Schedule: 14×14 (rotating days & nights)
Accomodations: Camp
Transportation: Client provided flights to/from Edmonton or Calgary
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Effective February 15th 2022, Kearl is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to declare your vaccination status and to submit copies of proof of vaccination.
Responsibilities:
Fleet repairs including Frame/Dump body repairs, Dozer ice lugging, Pin lancing, Implement rprs and Crack gouging/repairs.
Fabrication of various items, Numbers, signs, Stands or whatever needed for the Maintenance/Ops groups
Indoors/Outdoors work as needed
Specific Requirements:
Heavy Equipment repair experience required (Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators)
Trained and experienced with Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead and/or mobile truck cranes as well as other tools of the trade
Qualifications:
Red Seal/Alberta Journeyperson Welder
Welding truck outfitted with proper Welding Deck
$5M Liability Insurance
Summary:
All successful candidates must:
Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Have experience as requested as mentioned above
Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
Breath Alcohol Test
Urine Drug Test
Fitness-to-Work Assessment
Audiometric Testing
Vision Screening
Criminal Record Check
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
CSO or BSO Certification
Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Silica Awareness
Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
