Overview
Job Summary
A junior welder will use their knowledge to join metal parts and fills seams and holes of metal components. Inspecting the equipment and the structures being used while following and maintaining an understanding of safety protocol.
Specific Responsibilities
- Weld both large and small components to plan accordingly
- Read blueprints to execute jobs and tasks to specifications
- Trims metal components using heat, fire, electricity, and saw
- Monitors work environment for hazards and maintains healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment, or method to use based on requirements
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions such as vertical, horizontal, and overhead
- Maintain equipment in a condition in which it does not compromise safety
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools such as saws, squares, calipers, etc.
- Attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in welding
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $19.00-$28.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
