Metro Compactor Service Inc. is Canada’s leading expert in Waste and Recycling Equipment solutions. We are looking for two (3) Welder/Fitter’s with torch cutting experience to join our production team in our custom welding shop environment. This is a long-term permanent position at our on-site facility. Company benefits outlined below.
Qualified candidates will be invited to perform a weld test.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using (MIG) welding and torch cutting to manufacture and repair waste and recycling equipment
- Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Experience MIG welding and Torch Cutting
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and build off shop drawings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Read and use measuring tape
- Ability to work independently and work well in a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Experience:
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
- Reading Measuring Tape: 1 year (required)
- Hand/Power Tool: 1 year (preferred)
- MIG Welding: 1 year (required)
