Tandem is recruiting for a FULL-TIME POSITION as a JUNIOR STEEL FABRICATION DETAILER POSITION with a minimum of 1 years’ experience to support our clients’ projects in our WINDSOR, ON LOCATION.

This role will require travel onto the client’s site to preform work duties.

Requirements:

· A Diploma in Engineering Technology or Technician program, or a related field or equivalent experience.

· Exceptional mechanical aptitude

· Strong understanding of steel design and fabrication.

· Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, and Microsoft Office.

· Eager to learn about conveyor systems and associated components.

· Open to being mentored in the design and engineering of conveyor systems.

· Excellent communication and documentation skills.

· Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software

· Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, multiple priorities and fluctuating and conflicting schedules

· Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects.

· Willingness to travel, work weekends and holidays.

· Ability to work in the U.S. and Canada without sponsorship.

Necessary Requirements for Applicants:

· Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

· Must be able to obtain work permit in the United States and/or Canada.

· Be willing and able to cross the border, for required support of our US or Canadian customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The JUNIOR STEEL FABRICATION DETAILER is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Detailing steel fabrications using AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor
  • Conducting field assessments to determine conveyor system needs.
  • Developing conceptual conveyor layouts and writing bid packages for projects
  • Directing contractors and tradespeople in the installation of conveyor systems
  • Collaborating closely with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Conducting conveyor health assessments to ensure systems are functioning properly.
  • Performing punch listing and buy-off to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
  • Traveling to various job sites within the U.S. and Canada to support projects.
  • Working weekends and holidays as needed to meet project deadlines.

Salary is based on experience.

This position is worked maybe worked offsite on location of client.
