Overview
Kiewit is hiring Journeyperson Pipefittersfor the Trans Mountain Expansion Project located in the Lower Mainland, BC.
Requirements
- Must be a registered Journeyperson Pipefitter
 - Minimum 5 years’ experience
 - Oil and Gas facility/plant piping experience
 - Experience with Large Bore Pipe 20”-42” fit-up, alignment
 - Carbon steel & HDPE underground pipe experience
 - Complex Rigging experience is a must, Crosby rigger 2 cert preferable
 - Flange management and boltup experience
 - Pipe strain experience preferred
 
Shift information
- Monday – Friday, 10 hours, overtime after 8 hours every day
 - Depending on work, there may be additional overtime required
 - Must be willing to work weekends when required
 - Flexibility to work day or night shift
 
Responsibilities
- Read drawings and accurately interpret and complete calculations
 - Planning and sequencing of tasks and methods
 - Measuring, cutting, grinding, beveling
 - Hoisting and rigging using chain falls and come a longs
 - Fit up, working with welders
 - Hydro testing, bolt up & torquing
 - Work accurately and economically
 - Follow trade guidelines and regulations including provincial building codes
 - Clearly communicate with Superintendents, Foremen, Lead hands and Team members
 
Project Information
The Trans Mountain Expansion Project is a Kiewit and Ledcor Partnership, which includes 35km of pipeline from Langley to Burnaby and includes four terminals. This is a multi-billion dollar project that is estimated to take 3+ years to complete.
