Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
SUMMARY
CCO Spot Repair is a touch up/quality process to ensure product of completed to clients’ specifications. The spot repair welder is responsible to touch up the weld overlay using a welding machine after the welding process on the automated machines has been completed.
JOB DUTIES
Tasks
Apply overlay touch ups using welding machine
Buff/grind pipe using grinder
Cutting pipe using plasma cutter
Operate overhead crane
Rig spools and materials and equipment
Move materials and equipment using manual lifting/handling
Move materials and equipment using pallet jack
Sweep/clean fabrication shop
Organize tools and materials as required
Confined space watch
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working on an industrial site is considered an asset, but not required
CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
PSC Confined space training video and test
Gas Testing
Respirator Fit Testing
Confined space entry and monitor ticket
Overhead crane and rigging ticket/training
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
Able to work well in a team environment
Must be able to work in a confined space for extended periods of time
Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
