We are seeking a Lead Fabricator / Assembler to become an integral part of the shomi! team. The successful candidate for this position will have an enthusiasm to learn, a great personality and produces quality work that they are proud of.

Responsibilities:

You will be involved in all aspects of production of our custom, unique, displays:

  • Fabricate steel and aluminum structures (cutting, notching, riveting, etc.);
  • Assemble metal components ensuring all tolerances are met;
  • Follow project drawings;
  • Wire low voltage (12 v/24 v) lighting components for LED lit signage;
  • Roll, bend, and swage tube (prerequisite skill is not required, but must be learned on the job); and
  • Complete quality control procedures on work you and your teammates complete

Preferred Candidates:

  • Completely fluent with written and verbal English (required);
  • Strong work ethic and desire to improve/learn;
  • Experience in manufacturing or other related fields (3+ years required with preference to candidates with previous experience working in tradeshow or experiential marketing industries)
  • Experience reading blueprints and ability to follow instructions and/or drawings with minimal supervision, making sure all tolerances are met (3+ years required, 5+ years preferred);
  • Experience overseeing projects and work completed by others (1+ years required); and
  • Forklift certification (preferred, but not required)

Compensation range is based on candidates’ levels of prior experience, skill and certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
