Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Lead Hand Night Production Welder to join our Production Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and accurately welding and fabricating steel products including frame, tank, and Nova parts. This person ensures that assigned weld production is completed in a timely manner and meets all quality assurance standards.

What will you be working on?

  • Weld components in flat, vertical and/or overhead positions.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings and work orders.
  • Ensure conformance with specifications by using a variety of tools such as straightedges, templates, calipers, levels, and squares.
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts, warping, shrinking, distortion and/or expansion of material or parts.
  • Ensure all product specifications and quality assurance standards are met prior to material moving out of the work area.
  • Report and document all non-conforming materials to the Team Lead.
  • Train new employees as requested.
  • Must be able to successfully function within a team environment and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and policies.
  • Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area on a daily basis.
  • Ensure proper communication of work status between shift leaders.

What is required for this role?

  • Minimum of 6 months welding experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Possess solid understanding of welding equipment and accessories.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality.
  • Experience with TIG welding is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
  • Comply with company polices as well as Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of agriculture equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
