Safety-Kleen Canada is seeking a Licensed Pipefitter to join our team in Breslau, ON. You will be responsible for performing preventative and mechanical maintenance on a variety of refinery equipment including piping systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

Demonstrate commitment to health and safety in the workplace by working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and housekeeping practices;

Perform routine inspections, testing, and checklists for preventative maintenance and down time minimization. Includes steam traps, valves, lubrication checks, equipment testing, fire systems, etc;

Responsible for the maintenance of plant processing and related equipment including piping systems, process heaters, heat exchangers, and process vessels;

Work with other team members, maintenance groups, and refinery operational departments to ensure cost effective maintenance activities;

General facility maintenance;

Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure work completion and effective record keeping;

Assists in the organization and direction of contract personnel during routine shutdowns of the processing units;

Provide scheduled on call support during weeknights and weekends as required.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

Certificate of qualifications for steam/pipefitter (Ontario or Red Seal);

Experience with repairing steam piping systems in a refining or chemical processing environment;

Gas fitter II, Plumbing and/or TSSA welding Certificate(s) would be an asset;

Good written and oral communication skills;

Team oriented;

Strong Computer Skills required;
