Machine Repairer / Fabricator

Position: Machine Repairer / Fabricator

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
Aerial lift and small equipment operation

Assist with basic machine repair

Bridgeport/lathe operation and repair

Fabricating/welding

Facility repairs and maintenance

Hand/Air tool repair

Perform 5S Projects

Ordering required materials for projects

Adhere to all WHMIS policies, safety policies and procedures, and safety legislation

Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings

Ability to lift up to 25lbs

Ability to operate heavy equipment, i.e. forklift (training provided)

Holds a valid Ontario drivers’ license

Skillful with small power tools

Demonstrated strength in multitasking and time management

Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision

Literate in computers with the ability to use various computer applications
