We are looking for a unique individual who likes to be hands on, design, tinker, build, problem solve, design and come up with unique ideas then implement them. This could be you.
Industrial Pixel Visual Effects specializes in providing real-life technical solutions and tools that we use in the film industry where photogrammetry camera systems, aerial drone and remote controlled vehicles, and portable lidar scanning systems are required.
The right candidate must have the required skills and experiences, live in the lower mainland, ability to legally work in Canada, and is looking for an “out of the box”, in a challenging and unique opportunity. Responsibilities:
-Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during design, maintenance, or setup prototypes
-electrical experience to develop, solder and test electrical components from circuit boards to standard electrical wiring
-Part of a small multidisciplined team with strong work ethic and knowledge sharing with fellow team members
-Work with existing systems with the view of improvements and project completion
-Inspecting and examining components to detect irregularities and malfunctions
-Ensuring devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
-Keeping detailed and accurate technical documents and maintenance reports
-Maintaining a clean and efficient work space
-Analysis of engineered systems and optimization of components
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5-year experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
-Grade 12 diploma or ideally a Technical diploma
-Experience in repair and service of mechanical and electrical systems.
-Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hands-on skills
-Hardworking with strong organizational and time management skills
-Ability to operationalize the design plans to optimize the execution of the real-life assigned tasks
-Ability to work independently and in a team to achieve results and meet a tight deadline
-Proficiency with hand and power tools
-A strong sense of commitment and integrity
-A willingness to learn and continually improve
-Basic computer skills with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks with experience using 3d printers
