What You’ll Do
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining installed equipment and systems for proper operation
Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues and safely implement predictive, preventive, and corrective measures to ensure asset reliability
Effectively communicate equipment and system abnormalities
Installs HVAC and Electrical equipment
Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 10 years of HVAC experience, or minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience in a heavy industrial setting
HVAC certification or a technical degree in HVAC and refrigeration
Understanding of Refrigeration and HVAC systems theories
Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration trade practices
Understanding of basic electrical theory of AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits up to 1000 volts
Knowledge of trouble shooting electrical circuits and the ability to use multi-meters and other basic electrical test equipment
Experience with refrigerant controls (metering devices) and motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats, etc.)
Experience with electric motors, including three phase motors
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools such as a welder, torch, vacuum pump, and other test equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Knowledge of basic electrical safety in accordance with NFPA-70E
Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
