This position offers a 3k sign on bonus. Pay is $38.19 per hour.

The purpose of the Maintenance Planner is to safely deliver asset reliability performance by ensuring maintenance work is planned and executed efficiently using corporate standard methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance tasks across the mill
  • Create/change/display work orders in SAP and execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
  • Change notifications in SAP into work orders, and assign date, workcentre, and tradesman
  • Plan for shutdowns by ensuring work orders are ready for shutdown inclusion, generating standard shutdown listing/timeline, and conducting shutdown pre- and post-down meetings
  • Maintain reliability of machinery by identifying repeat failure parts and problem solving these areas
  • Take on responsibilities of maintenance crew leader for shutdowns if necessary, respond to maintenance work when needed, and be eligible for maintenance call-in breakdown work
  • Prepare and host weekly work order planning meeting report, as well as issuing weekly maintenance work plan document for each department
  • Create and track Purchase Orders for manpower and fabrication in each area
  • Track values for monthly accrual process
  • Participate in weekly meeting to track c-w work (timing and expense)
  • Approve service entry sheets in SAP
  • Participate in new maintenance employee candidate interviews

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • current Provincial “Certificate of Qualification” in the industrial trades (Electrician, Millwright, Pipe/Steam Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Instrumentation Technician) preferred
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), SAP preferred
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma certification/training (preference not required)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Industrial environment (noise, dust, moving equipment, fluctuating temperatures etc.) May include prolonged periods of standing, along with bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs, PPE, heights and confined spaces
  • Day shift position but hours could vary based on business need
