Maintenance Technician (Pipefitter/Welder) – (Borger , Texas, U.S.A.)

Reports to the Trades Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician.


What you will do:

  • Ensure safe and efficient work practices i.e. housekeeping, tool care, permitting, WHAT cards, and productivity
  • Follow and adhere to all safety policies, procedures, perform JTO’s, participate by entering near misses, report incidents, and attend safety meetings as required
  • Perform daily maintenance by welding, cutting, reading drawings, layout, bolting, and maintaining stationary equipment
  • Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance (PMs) as required
  • Perform Pipe Fitter Welding work including major overhauls of equipment
  • Document repairs and reliability information on equipment
  • Follow written procedures and completing detailed checklist
  • Work closely with contractors, vendors and internal departments to develop PM standards on equipment
  • Attend and complete required training internally and externally specific to job skills as required
  • Operate mobile equipment as required


What you will bring:

  • Specific working knowledge of all types of welding, cutting, blueprint reading, layout, and bolting
  • High level of skill in the use of all types of welding techniques and ASME welding standards
  • Proficient in welding equipment use and best practices
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and data management systems including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capable of reading detail drawings, drawing specifications, detail interpretation and perform work following drawings
