We are looking to fill a Maintenance Technician / Welder position at LOGISTEC in our Brunswick, GA operation. At LOGISTEC our core values are:

We are seeking a HIGHLY MOTIVATED self-starter who is versatile and can work efficiently and accurately in the field of heavy machinery mechanics and welding. If you are experienced in both arc and stick welding and can repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, diesel/gasoline engines, forklifts, bulldozers, wheeled loaders, excavators, road sweepers, etc., then this is the right opportunity for you.
Your new responsibilities:
Lay out, position, align, fit, and weld fabricated and forged components to assemble structural forms, conveyor and belt systems.
Repair, maintain and test machinery and mechanical equipment such as diesel/gasoline engines, forklifts, bulldozers, wheeled loaders and excavators.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to develop appropriate solutions.
Observe all OSHA and facility safety regulations, including use of personal protective equipment.
Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs on equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
You have the right qualifications:
At least one year of experience as a welder / fabricator of heavy equipment.
Must possess your own basic tool set (socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, etc.).
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in steel fabrication, welding and the maintenance of equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondences and memos, including safety, instructional and procedural manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Willingness to be vaccinated for COVID-19
As a small team it’s very important that all teammates are willing to help each other when necessary.
A valid driver’s license and eligibility to obtain a TWIC card through the Federal Transportation Security Administration.
