Overview

Position Summary

Safely repair and maintain plant industrial equipment. This could include conveyor systems, shakers, gearboxes, or other plant equipment. May also be asked to maintain fixed plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary. This position is 2nd shift and will work 4p-2a.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant equipment often in out of position welding
  • Maximizes performance of equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis
  • Performs fabrication, erection of processing equipment and repair to processing equipment and mobile equipment
  • Completes daily pre and post inspection of working area
  • Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION
  • Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives
  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times
  • Assist with training of co-workers as needed
  • Participates in other tasks required by supervisor


Requirements

  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated, possess a positive attitude and work with others as a team
  • Minimum of 1 year in welding and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • HS Diploma or GED required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled in maintenance welding
  • Able to use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Able to work in outdoor environment and in elevated areas
  • Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able and willing to cross-train in different areas of production
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge and skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
