Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques
Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
May be assigned to other projects and duties
Minimum 5 years’ experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel using SMAW, MIG, and TIG.
General pipe fitting experience and knowledge required
General knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, terminology and fabrication required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proof of welding certification testing required
May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty
