Overview

The Maintenance/Welder/General Repair position designs, installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and physical structures at the Plant by performing the following below duties, which are minimum position requirements:

· Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment

· Listens for unusual sounds from machine or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problem or repair machine

· Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts

· Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery

· Install or contact electrical repairs such as wiring or electronic components of machinery and equipment

· Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain mechanical and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

· Repair and maintain physical structure or ports and notifies supervisors for forward direction

· Set up and operate machine tools as welders, grinders, cutting torches, drills and other fabricating or repair tools

· Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and idler/rollers

· Lubricate machines and equipment

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Perform bulk material handling as assigned

· Complete all repairs and maintenance with direction from supervisors

· When assigned, will oversee and direct contractors

· Ensure that sufficient supply of consumable materials are available to properly maintain the terminal and its equipment

· All such other duties as necessary and/or reasonably required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
