We have an exciting opportunity, in our Fabricating department, for a Shop Foreman to work within a collaborative environment with a drive for excellence to lead our team.

Possible tasks included are:

  • Supervising & Leadership
  • Planning and Scheduling
  • Employee Relations
  • Productivity of Crew Members and Quality Control
  • Operation of CNC Plasma Cutter.
  • Welding, GMAW, of carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum.
  • Various custom or production fabricating of parts, fixtures or machines.
  • Operation of metal fabricating tools and machines such as shear, brake, punch press, band saw and grinder to prepare parts for welding.

Required

  • 5 Years experience in welding/fabricating shop.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in leadership / supervisory role
  • Ability to work a regular schedule of 44+ hours.
  • Quality-conscious and detail-oriented.
  • Must be motivated and have a team-oriented attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to learn, grow and develop
  • Receive constructive feedback
  • Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.

Assets:

  • Completed post-secondary welding program.
  • More then 5 years welding experience.
  • Weld certification in GMAW.
  • Ability to TIG weld Aluminum.

As a company that does small production runs and lots of custom work, this is an opportunity to work in a non repetitive work environment with many challenges, room to grow your knowledge and express your creativity. This is an all day shift from Monday to Friday with the option of overtime or Saturday shifts. We pay a competitive wage weekly based on your experience and capabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.85-$35.40 per hour
