Key Job Elements

Provide direction in all aspects of forming (CNC Programmimg, development and support)

Perform Design For Manufacturing analysis (DFM/A)

Develop and maintain the Manufacturing bill of Material (MBOM)

Develop and Maintain the Oracle Routings and manufacturing Work Instructions

Provide shop floor processing support in weld and/or assembly departments

Lead the production teams in the development and implementation of continuous process improvements

Define, concept, and request tooling requirements based on ergonomic principles

Support initial start-up production processes (MVB/PLP/FPI) of new models

Develop standard hour estimates for the production work instructions

Support initial start-up production processes (MVB/PLPFPI)

Provide effective process/manufacturing leadership to the shop floor

Provide technical documentation control to production

Work with manufacturing engineers on process improvements

Support manufacturing engineering standard hour development and monitor process efficiencies

Monitor process effectiveness and record issues in maximo database

Position Requirements:
Required Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering; or Skilled Trades license with 10+ years equivalent experience

Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist in forming operations

Minimum 3 years of experience working with shop floor employees in a unionized environment

Excellent working knowledge of TeamCenter and Oracle

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment

Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space

Ability to travel (5% US & Int’l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
