Overview

Financially sound and growing metal fabricator of commercial kitchen ventilation systems has an immediate opening for an:

  • Exceptional worker in a full-time MIG and TIG WELDER position

* Scheduled working hours of Monday-Friday from 6am-2:30pm

  • Satisfactory background check and negative drug screen required Essential Functions * MIG and TIG weld variety of metals such as light gauge (12-20ga) stainless steel or aluminized * Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions * Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using squares, calipers and rulers * Monitor the fitting, burning and welding process to avoid overheating of parts of warping, distortion, or expansion of materials * Examine work pieces for defects, measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications * Able to stand/bend/stoop/kneel for lengthy periods of time and lift at least 45lbs by themselves frequently * Uses safe work practices while performing job functions and follow safety procedures such as wearing personal protective equipment Peripheral Functions * Use and care of welding tools and equipment * Manage inventory counts * Submit order sheets based on usage * Read, understand, and interpret blueprints * Make recommendations for continuous improvement Essential Knowledge, Skills, Personal Characteristics * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations * Communications skills * Problem solving, math skills * Being detailed oriented and perfectionist of work quality Education and Experience * Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school and a considerable time at the journeyman welder level is preferred but not required. * Any equivalent combination of training or experience is acceptable Benefits * 401k with employer match * Optional medical, disability, vision, and dental insurance * Flexible Spending Account (FSA) * Paid holidays and vacation/sick days based upon tenure Captive-Aire is an Equal Opportunity Employer APPLICATIONS CAN BE COMPLETED online at http://www.captiveaire.com/employment/application/employmentwebapplication.asp
