Position Profile
We are currently looking for Manufacturing Sheet Metal Mechanic, Assembler & Production Workers to join our growing team in Victoria, BC. This position is part of the Unifor Local 114 bargaining unit. The successful applicant for this role will receive training appropriate to their area.

- Depending on your skills and prior experience this position is eligible for up to $38.90/hour

Duties & Responsibilities
- Capable of meeting all Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Viking Air and customer quality requirements
- Able to assist in training, directing, and supervising junior member of the team
- Able to work safely and efficiently with a minimum supervision
- Able to estimate, plan work efficiently and work within an assigned budget
- Repair, assemble and fabricate parts components from drawings, engineering masters plans, process sheets and repair manuals
- Knowledge of all phases of manufacturing and or repair, including but not limited to; cutting, shearing, pin-routing, computer numerical control (CNC) routing, CNC programming, deburring, forming, hydro-forming, heat treating, plating, welding, spot-welding, tooling, jig manufacture and touch up painting
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area following all safety protocols
- Able to program the sheet metal CNC equipment (i.e. routers, turret punch, waterjet, etc.) in order to manufacture aircraft parts, tools, and other parts from routine and exotic materials
- All other duties assigned
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Completion of a Transport Canada License AME (S) would be considered an asset
- Restricted or unrestricted certification with the Canadian Council for Aviation & Aerospace (CCAA) is considered an asset
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Any technical or trades qualifications/certificates, or training would be considered an asset
