Overview
We are presently seeking a Material Handler / Metal Fabricator with Sheet Metal Manufacturing experience.
This is a full time position.
***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A METAL MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. Only candidates with metal fab experience will be considered.
Required Skills:
- Experience working in a sheet metal manufacturing environment is required.
- Should understand the processes involved in metal fabricating.
- Knowledge of sheet metal (i.e. Gage, CRS, HRS, satin coat, etc.) is expected.
- Mandatory forklift experience and license with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Must have experience moving heavy loads/ steel with forklift
- Knowledge of standard safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Follow a production schedule and move materials and components to various work centers accordingly
- Read shop drawings to determine where a part, material or component should be moved for further processing
- Use a forklift to move heavy loads of sheet metal to and from work centres
- Ship, pick, receive, and count inventory as required.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Assist in all logistics departments as required.
