About Our shop based roles

Our Shop-Based teams are the foundation of our organization: the builders, the do-ers, the movers and shakers, the ones that get the job done right – every time. They’re MTBIs, Electricians, Machinists, Welders, Fabrication Helpers and more. They’re experts at what they do and pride themselves on a job well done. Exuding passion and embodying teamwork, our Shop-Based employees lay the groundwork for everything that we do at Eclipse. Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Machine Shop supervisor, the Material handler will work indirectly all departments. The incumbent will work with Shipping and Receiving as well as the Machine shop to ensure that materials and equipment flow through the system while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

Technical

  • Business Equipment and Computer Applications: General office equipment, Database software, Inventory control software
  • Using Pallet lifters, Lift trucks and fork-lifts, Hoists or winches, Powered cranes, Dollies and hand trucks, Loaders when needed
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Manual inventory control, Computerized inventory control
  • Schedule distribution of goods
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • Pack goods to be shipped
  • Unpack goods received
  • Laser engrave and part mark
  • Prepare parts for plating or outside process
  • Requisition of raw materials
  • Operation of manual and automatic saw
  • Local deliveries of manufactured components

Project Execution

  • Must be self-motivated and lead by example with a positive attitude and outlook
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code
  • Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy
  • Maintain a good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures
  • Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business

Travel

  • Expectation of travel to Eclipse locations is less than 10% of time, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet organizational needs, travel in-between buildings is frequent

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of OSSD or equivalent

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role preferably in an automation environment.
  • Fork Lift operator experience
  • Crane experience
  • Valid Driver’s license

This position is open for Eclipse in Cambridge, Ontario.
